I draw inspiration from club culture and counterculture fashion. Through large-scale sculpture and installation, I explore the bold forms of self-expression that emerge from underground and alternative settings. I am drawn to the exuberant, playful, and raw energy of the dance floor, as well as the authenticity and experimentation with fashion and identity that unfold within it. Using a wide range of materials, color, and scale, I transform these references into exaggerated sculptural forms. Recurring motifs such as unicorns, rainbows, and fishnets appear throughout my work alongside bold fabrics, platform boots, and pink stripper heels.

Rani Hirsch holds a BFA in Studio Art with an emphasis in sculpture from Texas Christian University. Born in Miami, Florida, and frequently moving throughout both childhood and adulthood, she considers home a feeling rather than a place. Her earliest inspiration was her mother, whom she describes as her “party superhero,” and who sparked her love of parties, festivals, clubs, and dance music from a young age. Rani is a multimedia artist who creates large-scale, playful sculptures using a wide range of materials. She has exhibited throughout the Dallas–Fort Worth area, including her recent solo show Unicorns, Rainbows, and Fishnets. She has also gained professional experience working with various galleries, assisting established artists, and contributing to the art departments of prominent events such as EDC Las Vegas. She is the recipient of the Emily Guthrie Smith and Samuel P. Ziegler Scholarships, both awarded in recognition of exceptional artistic talent, and is also a four-time grant recipient at TCU.
